Why This Office Doesn't Sell Treatment Packages
No packages, no pressure to keep coming back, and appointments made one at a time.

Walk into a lot of chiropractic offices and the first real conversation is about a plan: a set number of visits, paid up front, before anyone has been examined. That isn't how appointments work here, and it's worth explaining plainly what happens instead.
It shows up in small ways from the first phone call onward. There's no form asking for payment details before you've been seen, no upsell script read to every new patient, and no assumption baked in that a first visit is really just the opening step of a longer arrangement you haven't agreed to yet.
What actually happens instead
Every appointment is booked on its own, by phone, one at a time. Nobody is asked to commit to a course of treatment before they've even been seen, and nobody is signed up for a bundle of future visits as a condition of getting the first one. If you come in for back pain and it resolves in two visits, that's the end of it. If it takes longer, that gets worked out as you go, based on how you're actually responding, not against a number decided in advance.
What 'within your tolerance and preferences' means
Treatment here is meant to stay as gentle as the patient wants it to be. In practice, that means the technique used, hands-on adjustment, flexion-distraction, an adjusting instrument, or soft tissue work, is chosen with input from the person on the table, not just imposed based on the complaint. If something feels like too much, that's worth saying in the moment, and it changes what happens next. This isn't a slogan attached to the practice; it's the actual basis for how a visit is run.
Why this is worth knowing before you book
- No treatment package has to be purchased before you're seen.
- No pressure to return on a fixed schedule regardless of how you're doing.
- The technique used on a given visit reflects what you're comfortable with, not only the complaint on file.
- Appointments are booked individually, by phone, so nothing is locked in beyond the visit you're actually calling about.
This matters because a lot of hesitation about trying chiropractic care for the first time isn't about pain, it's about cost and commitment. Nobody wants to find out, after a single visit, that they've been enrolled in twelve more. That specific worry doesn't apply here, and it's a fair thing to ask about directly on your first call if it's what's holding you back.
What to actually expect
For back pain, neck pain, extremity pain, numbness, disc injuries, sports injuries, workplace injuries or auto injuries, the shape of care follows the same pattern: an appointment, an assessment, a technique chosen for what's actually found, and a conversation about whether another visit makes sense. Some complaints resolve quickly. Others take longer. Either way, the decision to keep coming back is yours to make each time, not something agreed to in advance.
How booking actually works
There's no online booking form and no automated scheduling system standing between you and an actual conversation about what you need. Every appointment is set up by calling the office directly, which also means every visit is a chance to ask a question before you commit to it, whether that's about cost, timing, or what a first visit for a specific complaint usually involves. The office keeps set hours across the week and is closed to walk-ins on weekends, so calling ahead isn't a formality, it's how anything actually gets scheduled here.
That same phone-first approach carries through to follow-up visits. Nobody is automatically re-booked into a slot three weeks out as a matter of routine. If a second or third visit makes sense based on how you're doing, that gets discussed and you call to set it up, the same way you did the first time. It's a slower way to run a schedule than an automatic recall system, and it's also the reason nobody ends up locked into a plan they didn't actually agree to.
Dr. Jack Treloar and Dr. Erik Walley have run the practice this way from the same Eaton Rapids Rd. office in Lansing since 2005. To book a first appointment, or to ask a question before you do, call (517) 699-0909.
